I think this might be the case where "Waiver of Signature" was not opted in case of express mail.
In that case, USPS has to deliver only if a signatory is available. This is obscure option on the Express Mail address sheet. For PO Box addresses like in this case, it is advisable to opt for waiver for obvious reasons.
In this situation, I guess nothing much to do except wait I guess.

I asked my Lawyer and she told me it's
NSEERS is the official name of the special registration program
and I have to show the proof that I registered during special registration. It's something started back in 2001. I think I didn't send my old I-94 and passport copies on which there is a stamp that I did went for that registeration.
So have provided that information to my Lawyer. I hope it covers what USCIS is asking for.

My brother is a Physical Therapist. His employer filed I485/I140 concurrently last week. His I140 was not filed under premium processing as the employer said that it is a waste of money as the GC will not come in a months time ( as the retrogression took place from Nov 2006). But then would he get his EAD or not? Any thoughts please?

Hi, I recently got a H1B extension stamping in Chennai consulate upto 2010 and I came back to SFO last week. Since my passport is expiring on July 2009. I-94 was issued upto July 2009.
Now my issue is to extend my I-94 upto the validity of H1B visa. I went through similar thread and it says crossing US border to Mexico or Canada will do to get the new I-94. So I am planning to make a trip to Mexico after my passport got renewed to renew I-94. Does it work?. Or do I have to go out of American Continent to get the new I-94. Some thread from (other sites) said, I need to go out American Continent..Is it true?.
Or is there any other way to extend my I-94 without crossing the border?.
Gurus - Please help if you faced any similar situation and sucessfully got your i-94 renewed.

In the below link find the site/airport closest to your current address.

Call up the phone number in the link and fix an appointment.
Go with Old Passport, new passport and all visa documents and I -94
Explain the situation to the officer and he/she should be able to rectify at the time of appointment.
Officer will put the new date on the existing I -94 and update the system and on the card itself. No new I - 94 will be issued.

I got my FP notice (Code 3) and got the FP notice stamped in FEB 2008

Does this mean that I have security clearance ?
Basically, what does the stamping mean ?

I am a primary applicant of GC. My question is can I take an unpaid vacation (for upto 6 months). FYI, My PD is EB3 - Aug 2003.
Does that affect my GC status in any way?

You can take Infopass to findout, wheather this notice is by mistake - if so you are out of problem. Otherwise, I don't think, there is any other option then getting it done, you can keep on extending till your wife comes here.
Take enough precautions so that finger ridges are properly scanned next time to avoid such calls. A small cut in fingers can delay legible prints for months. Sometimes skin diseases are problems. In newborns, finger ridges are not developed and it can happen with some grown ups. If you rub fingers against rough surface before FP, FP will not come properly.
The staff taking FP does visual scanning and runs preliminary program to verify whether scans are OK or not. With image scanning, number of repeat FP notice due to unreadbale prints is significantly reduced - so the notice you have received might be a mistake.

Let say, I continue taking classes until i get for visa stamping, how would they know that I am taking classes other than the grades that were posted or transcript.

I know we have to do a lot of work to get coverage but I was just saddened at the behavior of the bigwigs. They know the news and yet chose not to report it.

I have been getting the above message when I try to get a case status online for my I-140.
I filed concurrently for I-140, I-485 with EAD and AP on Aug 15th at TSC (EB3) and received receipt notices on 10/14/07 for all of the above applications. I also can get case status online successfully for the other 3 applications.
My attorney contacted USCIS (as they said that I cannot inquire on the I-140 and that it can only be the employer or the attorney) and they (USCIS) said they can see my case on their system but don't know why I cannot.
Is anybody in the same boat as I am? Should I be worried that I cannot get online status even after 8 weeks from the time the reciept notices were issued? Any advice/input is greatly appreciated.

No one can file I-485 without the PD for that person is current in the visa bulletin.
You can replace your previous wife with a new wife at home, not with USCIS. !!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to know how should one modify the immigration petition again after divorce and second marriage. Can the second wife name be added to 485 immediately or wait for the PD to become current? And how about EAD?

nothing to worry about, it happened to me too,
I opened an SR and two weeks later my wife got FP and I didn't, I thought I'll wait for a week or two but in vain. When I gave a follow-up call I came to know that FP was scheduled at my Attorney's place (I live in west coast and I was scheduled to attend FP at ASC in East coast) and the twist is my attorney never received it.on top of it when I asked the Rep about possibility of scheduling an FP at my place she advised me to file AR-11 form, at this point it was very clear to me that Rep doesn't have a clue on what she is talking about. the very next day I was luck to get hold of nice rep who said I quote
" I don't understand why these people schedule FP at attorney�s location"
he apologized and said he will open an SR to reschedule at my location and he assured me that this time it will be at my location, which I got in couple of weeks.
Hope you will get your FP notice soon.

@softcrowd - i understand that they will understand the situation.. but is it possible that we can change the I94 date before we get out of US and do not want to carry any screenshots when travelling next time.
@mmk123 - Please do let me know what you are doing in this situation. I am stuck in almost in the same situation.. how the I 94 date is on the 21st.. i have already re-booked my tickets for the 21st.... and with the situation this might also cancell.

Hi Guys lets count number of people getting temporary benefit of filing 485 at this time, after we get our our EAD's how much are we ready to spend for lobbying to get our GC's soon.
