Hi,
I had applied for H1 for 2008 from two different employers.Both got approved.
you are one lucky dude. when you get to the US go to las vegas and try you luck there :)
Now my concern is ,
1)would there be any problem during the Visa stamping?
no. there is no law against 2 h1s. Any problems you might face would be related more to your qualifications, the company that is sponsoring you etc.
2)What should i do to other visa ,which i will be not using?

3)How should i approach the employer whose employment i will be not accepting?
wait for your visa stamping to come through with one employer, then inform the other one that you wont be able to accept his job offer
4)I have signed one offer letter from the employer but other employer had not provided me with the offer leter.so whom should i join?
signing the offer letter is also not too late to switch employers (though its bad form). See which company is better based on other things:
- is one a regular company with a job already for you and the other a consultant who still has to place you
- where are the offices? Is one in the big hubs like silicon valley, new jersey/new york, austin, dallas, phoenix etc? Is it in a place where the standard of living might be hard based on your salary (1bed apartments rent range anywhere from 200 bucks to 1200 bucks depending on whether you are in arkansas or bay area). Is one in a place where the weather might be too harsh for you.
- what is the profile of the two employers (which one is more reachable, friendly)? If both are consultants, which one is bigger, with a better client list.
- salary, benefits of each of them.
all in all, even if you pick teh 'wrong' employer, you can always come here and then change...

we r coming to a full circle here..... over 90% americans also supported & practiced slavery back in 1786...... the declaration of independence was agreed by all americans and it said - "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.... but over 90% americans supported slavery which wasthe biggest mockery of what everyone believed..... it just proves that just becoz majority of the people support something doesn't make it right or doesn't make it just.... in the end this nation had to go in for a civil war between the north & the south to end slavery.....
fast forward.... the current immigration debate is no different...... this country ought to have learned from the experience of the civil war..... for all the men, women and children who died in the civil war.... this country & this world provides for abundance of resources for everyone..... we can all cohabit this planet and live happily.... some people just don't want too..... the real question is...... will these facist forces stop with the undocumented or will they next try to squash another group who don't look like them..... my guess is that after they take care of the undocumented..... we r next.... its the generation old question that was asked during 2nd world war.... will the nazi forces of hitler stop within europe or will they next attack the US or soviet etc.... we all know the answer to that question.... and hence the 2nd world war.... the debate for the undocumented is of the same kind.... do we stop the negative fascist forces right here or will they be allowed to expand their wings.... i know the final outcome..... its just a matter of time.....
now u can throw out all the bull arguing that these are "illegal" people or they crossed the border etc.... these r the same sort of arguments presented for slavery or for mistreating women or immigrant groups, who were treated as slaves back then.... these negative fascist forces said the exact same things against abolishing slavery or giving equal rights to women, african americans and different immigrant groups..... u may think u are on the right side of this debate but u have no freaking clue that above human law there is another law... and that greater law supersedes every other human law.... every action in contradiction to the greater law will eventually lose.... wait & watch.... its just a matter of time....

gk_2000, how far is your place from the towers? did you try Terk HDTVa? you did not get any signal at all? or was it blurry/snowy images?

Yep, just passed level III , today. Now will start applying for the charter.

I am pleasantly surprised and would like to thank Sen Mendez on behalf of all the IV members in his constituency for sponsoring visa recapture bill in Senate. Few days back when we called his office, his position was different. But because of we all calling and requesting for his support, he graciouly has agreed to take up our case. Speaking with his staff, I came to know that more than thousand calls were made to his office in support of the visa recapture bill.
No Offense, but please don't misspell the senator/congressman(woman) name...Senator Menendez...
It might also not look good when someone from IV calls the office and pronounces the name incorrectly...

Fellows in pain ...
It's been horribly long 10 years and many complications along the way but my journey seemed to have reached the end. This morning I got a magically enchanted email:
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Card production ordered.
I am still at awe and can't believe ... probably will never do until I get the physical card.
For those interested:

Form AR-11 is also available for online filing. See below quote from the link you provided.

Hi,
My I-94 which was issued 2 years ago in the port of entry got expired(this I-94 was based on my previous employer "ABC". I have applied for H1 extention and got my 797 extended with new I-94 recently with my new employer "XYZ".
My question is which I-94 details should I use while filing my 485. Obviously my labor was filed by "XYZ" company.

I was laidoff recently and i know the stress one goes through. That's the reason i am trying to help by making a IVjobhunters group. I have found my job and i have nothing to gain.
Sidbee if you cannot talk good or help please shut your mouth. . If someone is asking for help ( Laidoff means Was terminated from work for no reason of yours).
You have the right to ask your employer for one way return ticket to your home town. Its not just the international airport but till your home town, Its a law and you should get it.
I was laidoff and i took unemployment benifits, Sidbee, Give me a lecture.

There is no risk. I recently traveled and came back on AP and I changed jobs and no longer work with sponsoring employer.
There is always a nut case if you are not lucky and will probably cause some grief, but will not stop you from entering US.

I also see lot of LUDs on my I485 application. We filed our application on July 19th but the receipt date is November 1st. We received all our EADs and APs within 3 weeks and got our FP done on December 5th. Since then I am seeing bunch of LUDs on my I485. Even today they accessed my file. I am EB3 India with PD May 2004. My I140 was approved in 2006 and got an LUD on November 11th.

I was thinking over this for quite some time. Why dont we hire one or two immigration attorneys on a full time basis. And lets start am immigration office where we can have all our immigration works (doubtful) but the future immigrant works ata marginally cheaper rates with high quality of service. If we keep a no profit no loss mantra, it would be helpful to everyone and also it will make this organization very strong.
Lets discuss its relevance? What does the Core think about this.?

I heard that " Labour should be filed 365 days before, whether approved or not" and that will automatically allow you to have 1 year extension.
