I never do when changing channels, they're never substantially different, but yeah, ads are bitch.
It's never a huge difference, but it's noticeable.
I think the biggest problem is music in TV shows. It's always louder than everything else.

i must be looking at the wrong thing because there is no minus sign a plus one and a ton of erase options but no minus disk utility right?

iFixit is done with the 21.5 inch teardown. Any thoughts on if users can add an SSD in there with an aftermarket drive? Looks like there's bolt holes to hold something, but I'm not that familiar with what cables would be needed or could be split.

No, the audio gauge isn't showing anything, it just says that the device has no input controls. (The volume control gauge doesn't even come up)
I checked the audio midi configuration and again, while my computer recognises the audiobox, it won't let me choose "use this device for sound input" in the action pop up menu. Is this a driver issue?

Hi all!
I just got my refurbed MBA and it has the old spacebar!
I just read the article that states Apple upgraded the spacebar and that the new spacebar creates spaces 40mb/s faster!
Will I notice a difference in real world applications?

I'm new to the JB world and so far I'm loving it on my iPhone for MiWi tethering, LockInfo, and themes.
However, I cannot think of a reason to JB my iPad as well besides themes. I figured I'd ask you pros your JB functions you use daily for your iPad.

Actually, I'm sure there is a way, as long as a person has access to the computer. There's probably some type of software used by corporations to monitor employee computer usage. In addition, searched MacUpdate for "keystroke logger" does come up with a utility called logkext. So of course it can be logged. Now, installing and monitoring it remotely might be difficult though. Securing physical access to your computer (i.e. setting up a password to come back from screensaver or sleep) would be the primary concern. You could also use Little Snitch to monitor apps making network connections.
I'm not aware of any way to "secure keystrokes" though.

As I writer I (predictably) focused on the book sales angle of the graph which, at 54% of 63% of approximately 4m iPads, offers extrapolated figures of approximately 1.36m book sales, and that's if everyone just bought one book from the iBookstore.
I got my last quarter's sales figures from Apple recently and they were, quite honestly, staggering. It has barely left the top ten in Mysteries and Thrillers in the UK but until I saw the figures I had no idea whether that represented 50 books sold or 5000. Certainly the sales I achieved via the iBookstore and the graph (assuming that by 'tablet' they mean iPad and not Kindle - where sales have also been very strong) seems to be blowing the "iPad will never make a competitive book reader" argument out of the water.
The iPad's not a perfect reader, by any means, but i also don't think it's a bad one. At all. As such, I suspect that newspapers and magazines will also do very well on the iPad over the next few years and whilst iPad and Kindle will never kill the paper market, they sure as hell seem to be making a worthwhile dent in it.

You can have your products serviced through any genius bar. If your products require significant repairs and are very new (say less than a month old) then it is likely the products will be simply swapped out there and then for you. This is at the manager's discretion but it was a common occurrence.
However, you cannot simply return the product to the store for an exchange or refund if you have just changed your mind etc, it has to be sent back to the online store. At least this was the case in the UK.
They can swap defective products because it will go through as a genius bar service, and not through the tills as a return (very simple way of explaining it, not really any need for detail...)

I will be driving down to NH from New York ... and i know NH is a tax free state ... there is this apple store at 99 Rockingham Park Blvd. Salem, NH 03079 i want to go visit, my question is if i get a mac book pro air ultimate or an ipad at that location would i just pay the price and no tax, my credit card has billing address in new york. thanks
Don't know about NY laws but being in MA I used to do this all the time. Sure you are supposed to report it on your taxes, but I would go in with a MA school ID, MA drivers license, MA bank account and never once paid taxes. It was a nice loophole when I was in school. Now, I just can usually get a deal on Amazon with free shipping and no taxes so I don't deal with the trip from Boston to get goods.
I got the very first Aluminum Powerbook to leave their store when I was in college :)
PS.. if you've never been there, getting off the highway and into the mall can be somewhat confusing. Good luck ;)
