Hofstra is part of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). My Alma Mater, the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), is also a member of the CAA.
UNCW > Hofstra in sports. Suck it.

Congrats on your decision to attend college. I hope you do well and enjoy your time.

BTW, what happened to the formatting on the Category:Ports (http://guides.macrumors.com/Category:Ports) page? Why is it separating the S's like that, and making it a weird grid instead of a simple list of articles??
The category system arranges its tables in deep, dark, mysterious ways. It will look better when the article count grows a little.
Also, why when forwarding the Ports (http://guides.macrumors.com/Ports) page to the Category:Ports does it not show the entire category?
I put in the syntax tweak that should have made it work, but apparently this bug (http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710) is still unfixed. Can't get there from here :(

Well I called Rogers again and had them send me out another replacement so hopefully this one won't have the focus issue again!

If you're going to sell it with Leopard, then you must sell it with a valid, legal Leopard Installer Disc, otherwise, it must be reinstalled & sold with the original software installer Discs.
If you are selling/trading a computer with other than the software it originally shipped with (or free updates since then), you must explicitly state that master discs (CDs or DVDs) for that software will be included, as an indication that you are transferring the original installation media and the end-user license (EULA) to the other party. This rule is strictly enforced.

I was sure i read an article posted on this forum, showing someone who did just that. Bought parts off ebay to build a G5 (mainboard, case etc)... or maybe it was to upgrade an original G5 . I remember something about it not working at the correct speed so he had to mess with it..
Anyhow. MacMini... best bet if you are after something simular to a PowerMac (as in no head and no inbuilt screen) or you could look in the refurbished sites - you can actually get Single CPU 1.8 for a quite reasonable price (a lot less than say a dual g5 2ghz).And one of the dudes from Momentum gave his a huge long technical direction on how to meld the mismatched parts and get the machine running right.
Look at BBoettjer's posts (http://episteme.arstechnica.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/8300945231/m/721002389631/r/120006915731#120006915731)
Even Apple parts from eBay may not be a piece of cake.
Edit: Same original poster user name on here.

I have one of these in my 2009 Air, and it honestly turned my Air into a whole different computer. The difference between it with the SSD and the old HDD is night and day.

Not sure about i5, but fast i7 with 4 real cores plus 4 virtual ones can run bigadv. But SMP2 is pretty good, so you need a real fast i7 to get enough bonus to be worth it.
well how do you think an i5 650 would do with the SMP2? stock is 3.2 ghz - but i've read they are easily overclocked to well over 4 ghz on air

I have connected my MacBook Pro to my PS3 using Medialink and all except playing from Itunes seems to work fine. When I navigate to ITunes on PS3 I can see all artists etc but when I pick a tune PS3 shows a message "No titles"
Anybody got a solution?
Cheers

Yes, preferably you'd have better protection before someone enters your home. But like car alarms, a Kensington Lock can be used as a deterrent (it'll take at least a few minutes to get it off without a key/combination). If force is used, it'll obviously damage the security slot.

I'm waiting on one too. I'm just using a 30" that I picked up off craigslist yesterday for now.

When I type in Safari or Atomic or even click links there is about a 1 second delay, which is huge. Is this happening to anyone else? It started a few weeks ago and the update didn't help.

well for the music there are many programs out there. (senuti I think) But for the apps you are going to have download those on your new air. If you want to keep all app settings I think there is a way to use an earlier backup but I don't remember how to do that.
To get you apps off the phone and into the "new" iTunes, connect your phone to iTunes, right click on your device in the left pane, and select "Download Purchases". That will transfer your apps and app data to iTunes.

 okay, that smiley is so cool.
My website is based on HTML. When you scroll down, the picture on my backround scrolls down with it. I would like to have the backround stay put, and only the words scroll. I've seen this on other sites and it is very cool. Do you know how to do this with HTML?

Dear MacRumors participants.
I have a few questions.
I'm currently trying to develop a webapp version of an in-House Medical Handbook. But my knowledge and skill in both JavaScript-, CSS- and HTML coding is limited. I've been reading in Apple' Developer Handbook (Safari Reference Book), but find this very confusing.
So here it goes:
1. I've been able to code a basic function: When clicked on a row in a tableview, an underlying StackLayout is loaded. Thats great. But I haven't been able to selectively define a different function for each row in that tableview. Right now all rows, when clicked, loads the same page, but change the name in the browser bar to the row defined name.. I've created the app from the browser template.
I have created a separate javaScript file, like in the browser template, defining the names in the table rows. The table is set to Dynamic in Data Type (in Inspector under Attributes). But unlike the template version, the action onclick has to load another StackLayout. I have attached two pictures of the coding in the file main.js. So, how do I define a different path for every row?
2. The Handbook is quite big. I've thought it over severel times, and have decited to build it with severel StackLayouts and substacklayouts controlling every list view. But is that rational og logical? Would I be able to control all these and bind all these layouts in Dashcode together? Anyone have any good ideas?
My idea was to start with a list of five rows of approach: Reference Book, ACLS, Contacts, News and the About page. Then when clicked it loads new substacklayouts..
3. When I click the backbotton in the simulator, the rows i've just clicked on stil remain highlighted. Where do I chance that?
I hope my presentation is not too messy! :-)
I'm looking forward to hear your answers.
Best regards!
